The Peninsula Astronomical Society will provide state-of-the-art telescopes, allowing your child and their friends to observe distant galaxies, sparkling stars, and elusive planets up close.  Imaginations will soar as the mysteries of the cosmos are explored. As you and the kids marvel at the celestial wonders above, indulge your taste buds with delicious cookies and sip on a refreshing beverage, provided courtesy of Ms. Majid and Ms. Candelaria.

The history of the food we know and love as pizza is as old as Rome itself! Roman soldiers used to cook flatbreads with cheese and dates on their shields while on the road. 

We have a better idea.

You and three friends (all adults, all kids, or some combination thereof) will be able to explore this fancy flat food favorite with Mrs. Cadell using her outdoor pizza oven in the beautiful surroundings of Lakeside Elementary.  First, you will make dough to take home for future pizza (or focaccia, if you are so inclined) making. 

Then, you will take some pre-made dough and create your own perfect pizza or fantastic focaccia.  It will be cooked in Mrs. Cadell's portable Pizza Oven until it is crispy, chewy and ready to munch! Eat it immediately, as an afterschool snack, or take it home and treat your family with a Napolitano esperienza della cena!  Manga!

Note: please let us know once you have purchased the Pizza Experience, if you need gluten free dough, and what toppings or sauce you want on your pizza (limit 1 topping and up to 2 toppings).  

Sauce choices include: (please choose 1) Garlic white sauce, marinara and pesto.

Topping choices include: (please choose 2) Pepperoni, mushroom, onion, black olive, 3 cheese (Mozzarella, Parmesan, and Jack), sausage, pineapple or meatball.

This cabin and property are owned by the Gill Family, relatives of Lakeside parents Robert & Nova Beck. The Gill's Camp Palehua offers activities such as guided hikes and learning about Native Hawaiian Plants and the importance of restoring the local land to its native state.
